Flights between San Angelo and Dallas-Fort Worth should be a little quicker next year. American Eagle Airlines is reportedly going to replace the turboprop planes currently in use at Mathis Field with Embraer regional jets, originally used here a few years ago. The jets carry fewer passengers but should be able to handle the traffic at Mathis.
