Tom Green County will be one of 52 counties in the state participating in the Texas Tobacco Enforcement Program. County commissioners have approved a request from the sheriff's department for funding to help monitor the sales of tobacco to minors at retail locations. The money is coming from the state to help make parents, children and businesses aware of the law.
