Last week, San Angelo police announced an arrest in a three-year-old murder case. 43-year-old James Owen Winchester was arrested by police in Joplin, Missouri. Winchester is accused of murdering Kim Burton at a residence in the 33-hundred block of Cornell Street in March of 2008. He is awaiting extradition back to San Angelo. In Joplin Thursday, Winchester appeared for an extradition hearing. The judge appointed a defense attorney and scheduled another hearing a week from today.
