Last week, we told you about a free one-day dial-in legal clinic that was available to qualified individuals in the Concho Valley. Legal Aid of Northwest Texas now says its San Angelo office was able to help about twenty people during the Dial-A-Lawyer event. It was held to commemorate Legal Aid's sixtieth anniversary. People were encouraged to call in and see if they were financially eligible, then ask about any questions on legal issues they might have. The volunteer attorneys say the response was lower than expected but that almost everyone was helped.
