Because recent state-wide moisture indicators continue to move closer to the normal range, Tom Green County Commissioners did NOT enact a burn ban Tuesday. Residents are still reminded that if they plan a controlled burn of brush, grass, etc, to contact the Sheriff's Dispatch Office to let them know in advance, be cautious and check the forecast a day ahead of time and never burn during windy conditions.
