Texas Parks and Wildlife is sending out an S.O.S message to the public. They need your help to keep state parks across Texas operating as the department faces a $4.6 million budget gap.Texas state parks attract millions of visitors annually, but this year was different. The prolonged drought and many wildfires significantly reduced visitor levels at many park,s which rely heavily on visitor fees which make up nearly half of their $69 million operating budget.
