State Parks Need Help

Over the summer the Texas heat and wildfire outbreaks all across the state hurt the amount of visitors state parks saw. That put a dent in The Texas Parks and Wildlife budget to the tune of about $4.6 million. But, with a new year state parks officials are hoping to turn things around. State parks rely heavily on visitors, with over half their revenues coming from user fees. You can help Texas state parks by simply visiting them and paying the five dollar entrance fee. You can also donate to the park system at the D-M-V office or online by doing a search for the Texas State Parks website. there's a button on it that's clearly marked DONATE.
