Drought plan

Utility officials will recommend today that the San Angelo City Council move the city into Stage Two of its Drought Emergency Plan. Heat, coupled with a lack of rainfall, has left San Angelo with a water supply of a year and a half. Moving to stage two would mean that residents would be restricted to watering their lawns only once every seven days, with no exemptions for new lawns. There would also be a surcharge for using more thant 10-thousand gallons of water in a month.
