School Board To Vote On Summer Meals Program

The Summer Meals Program run by the San Angelo Independent School District will be on the agenda at tonight's school board meeting. The program begins in June and provides breakfast and lunch for tens of thousands of kids who are enrolled in Early Head Start, the Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA, ROTC and San Angelo Rec Department programs. Food service workers estimate they'll serve up around 42-thousand meals in the month of June alone. School trustees will be asked to vote on the Summer Meals Program at their regular meeting this evening at six at the District Administration Building on University Avenue.
