Pockets Of Heavy Rain

Heavy rainfall in some areas over Easter weekend have helped the Concho Valley in its efforts to recover from almost a year of drought conditions. Even though it's still officially a drought, you wouldn't have known it in some places over the past few days. The National Weather Service office in San Angelo says just over half an inch of rain was recorded at Mathis Field over the weekend while over three-quarters of an inch fell in Bronte. One area just south of Abilene received nearly an inch-and-a-half of rain in just a few hours.
