Drought stage 2

The San Angelo City Council went along with the recommendation of utility officials Tuesday and moved the city into Stage Two of its Drought Emergency Plan. Heat, coupled with a lack of rainfall, has left San Angelo with a water supply of a year and a half. Under stage two, residents are restricted to watering their lawns only once every seven days, with no exemptions for new laws. There is also an increased surcharge for using more thant 10-thousand gallons of water in a month.
