Concho Valley residents turned out to support a couple of good causes over the weekend. Almost four-thousand people attended the Spring Chicken Affair, held behind First Financial Bank on Knockerbocker Road and benefitting West Texas Rehabilitation Center. And the seventh annual Picnic in the Park attracted several hundred families in observance of Child Abuse Prevention Month--where the goal was to raise awareness of the problem and resources available to deal with it.
