A book by a history professor at Angelo State University has received the Luciano Guajardo Award from the Webb County Heritage Foundation in Laredo. Professor Arnoldo De Leon was honored for his book, "War Along the Border: The Mexican Revolution and Tejano Communities." The foundation said it presented the award to De Leon "in recognition of efforts to promote awareness of the history, architecture or folklore of the region."
