A San Angelo man has drowned at Lake Nasworthy. Police say 21-year-old Fernando Tovar was with two friends Friday afternoon off the Mary E Lee beach and they tried to swim out to a bouy and back. Officers arrived to find Tovar out of the water, unconscious and not breathing. A bystander had begun CPR. Tovar was transported to San Angelo Community Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His death was ruled an accidental drowning.
