San Angelo police say a 10-year-old girl was thrown more than 40 feet when she was hit by a vehicle Friday night but will apparently be OK. It happened on West Beauregard as the child ran out into traffic near Sherwood Way and was struck by an eastbound Jeep. She was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The Jeep driver and passenger were not hurt.
