Keep San Angelo Beautiful is working to "Shine Up San Angelo." The Great American Cleanup returns this Saturday from 8 AM to 1:30 PM at the San Angelo Coliseum. Volunteers will be set up throughout the parking lot to collect all types of non-hazardous refuse and debris. That includes household trash, iron and metal projects, old tires and batteries, appliances, furniture, mattresses and box springs, brush, wood, paper, plastics and just about any other type of non-hazardous trash. All San Angelo residents are invited to bring their items to drop off at no charge; there will be a one-dollar fee for each car and truck tire collected.
