The administration section of the San Angelo Police Department will be closed at least through Monday to assess damage after the subject of a police chase intentionally drove a stolen pickup truck into the building. 24-year-old Amanda Jeffreys of Manor, Texas, allegedly stole the pickup from a 7-11 on West Beauregard and then led police on a chase through the north and central areas of San Angelo. Speeds reached about 70 miles an hour before officers say Jeffreys drove the pickup into the northwest corner of the police department building. She sustained minor injuries and was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and folony evading arrest.
