A power outage today affecting just over three thousand customers in San Angelo. AEP says the outage affected customers in central San Angelo and came from a problem at a substation on West Avenue N. Power was restored to most of the affected homes and businesses by late morning. Apart from those whose homes were affected, the first indication of the outage came when motorists began calling in reports of traffic lights being out between College Hills Boulevard and Houston Harte Expressway.
