Next Monday, June 11th, Concho Valley PAWS will hundreds of animal welfare organizations nationwide for “Just One Day”: an initiative to prevent unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable pets. Hundreds of animal shelters, including our local San Angelo Animal Services, have taken a pledge not to euthanize any savable animals on that day. PAWS encourages people to adopt a rescued dog or cat before and/or after June 11th. On Saturday and Monday, PAWS will be offering discounted adoption fees of 100 dollars for dogs and 50 dollars for cats.
