If you follow the city of San Angelo on Facebook, take note that most city Facebook pages will be consolidated into one page on September 1st. Facebook pages for Civic Events, Parks and Recreation, the Nature Center, Emergency Management, WIC and the Development Corporation will be deactivated on that date. The updates for those departments will be found on the city's Public Information page, which has a following of almost 84-hundred fans, more than four times any of the pages being discontinued. The San Angelo Police Department and Fort Concho will continue to operate their own Facebook pages.
