Snoop strikes again

For the second time in the last few weeks, a San Angelo police K9 Service Dog has successfully tracked down a suspect. Early Friday morning, two officers attempted to contract two suspicious subjects walking illegally in the roadway near the intersection of South Park and West Beauregard. One of them ran away, but Service Dog Snoop and his handler were able to lead police to an abandoned house on Colorado Street, where the subject, identified as 26-year-old Jerry N. Eden of San Angelo, was hiding on the roof. Eden fled and was tracked down again by Snoop at another residence where he was taken into custody on an outstanding county warrant and other charges. The second suspect, 24-year-old Nicholas S. Phillipus of San Angelo, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.
