A few weeks ago, we told you a local woman arrested by U-S Customs and Border Protection officers, after she was stopped at the Del Rio International Bridge and they found seven firearms and ammunition in her Dodge Caliber. During the search, she threw down her purse, and tried to run across the bridge, but she was taken into custody. Department of Homeland Security now identifies the woman as 39 year old Sonia Rodriguez of San Angelo. She’s been charged with weapon smuggling.
