Some disturbing news from State Comptroller Susan Combs. She announced today that sensitive personal identity information of three point five million Texans, names, addresses, social security numbers, was exposed online to the public for about a year, through the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, Employees Retirement System of Texas and the Texas Workforce Commission. The Attorney General is looking into the matter. If your information was vulnerable, you should receive a letter about it, by next week.
