Afternoon sports headlines

After snapping that 10-game losing streak, the Angelo State baseball team is in action at home this weekend. The Rams host Central Oklahoma at Foster Field in a single game tonight at 7 and a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 1. The Rams are 12-12 in conference play, with 12 games left in the season. That puts them in 9th place in the conference.

The #10 ranked Angelo State softball team will be “Battlin' Cancer, One Pitch at a Time” during a three-game home series tonight and tomorrow against Eastern New Mexico. The Belles are trying to raise awareness about young adult cancer.

The Wall High School softball team continues a great season tomorrow afternoon, hosting Grape Creek at 4. So far, the Lady Hawks are 24-1-and-1.

The Rangers haven't lost yet this season, and start a weekend series in Baltimore tonight. The Astros are back at home tonight against the Marlins after beating the Reds yesterday.
