The National Weather Service at San Angelo has again issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of west central Texas, including the Concho Valley. Heat index values near 105 degrees will continue through the afternoon hours today. Prolonged exposure to these hot conditions will increase the risk of heat-related illness. You're advised to drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids, avoid outdoor work in the afternoon and wear lightweight and light-colored clothing.
