Arrest follows foot chase

On Saturday, a San Angelo police officer stopped the vehicle in the 400 block of West Avenue I for having an expired registration. During the traffic stop the driver gave a false name. The officer also noticed the registration sticker on the vehicle belonged to a different vehicle. The driver was then asked to step out of the vehicle and the officer then noticed a plastic baggy in the vehicle containing a substance that later turned out to be methamphetamine. When he was questioned about the substance, the driver fled on foot but was located in the 1200 Block of South David and arrested. He's identified as 26-year-old Justin Adame and faces multiple charges.
