A San Angelo man faces several charges after he led officers on a brief foot pursuit during a late Wednesday night traffic stop near Angelo State University. Police say 34-year-old Eric Hernandez was pulled over for driving recklessly on Knickerbocker Road. They say he could not produce a driver's license and intially gave a false name. As officers attempted to confront him, Hernandez allegedly ran away but was apprehended as he tried to jump over a fence on University Avenue. Hernandez was arrested and transported to the Tom Green County Jail.
