Clear skies and cold, dry air are creating a hard freeze across west central Texas, including the Concho Valley, this morning. The National Weather Service at San Angelo says a freeze warning remains in effect until 9 AM. Temperatures were expected to fall into the low to mid 20's. Damage to temperature-sensitive vegetation is likely. Outside pets, livestock and unprotected pipes are also at risk.
