The National Weather Service at San Angelo has issued a winter weather advisory for west central Texas, including the Concho Valley, through 6 AM tomorrow. Periods of freezing rain and freezing drizzle are expected to develop across the area today, at times mixing with sleet. Ice accumulations are expected to remain light through tonight, affecting mainly elevated surfaces, such as bridges and overpasses, power lines, motor vehicles and trees. A winter storm watch will be in effect starting tomorrow morning. Additional winter weather is expected tomorrow into early Monday with additional accumulations of ice and sleet possible.
