Bike and pedestrian survey

The San Angelo Metropolitan Planning Organization has released the results of a survey regarding priorities for pedestrian and bicycle projects. 679 San Angelo residents were surveyed between April and June of this year. Among the findings: A large majority of respondents strongly agree that pedestrian and bicycle nfrastructure projects should be prioritized on the basis of both their safety and potential health and recreation uses for current residents. They also said the projects should be prioritized on the basis of the potential for tourism, economic development, and promotion of the community as a “healthy” place to live.
