West Texas lawmakers leery of Syria action

San Angelo's congressman remains undecided on Syria.

So does the rest of the West Texas delegation.

House Republican Mike Conaway urges the universal condemnation and confrontation of chemical weapons. However, Scripps Newspapers reports him saying he believes the President has not yet to present a plan that would fully address Syria's alleged use of chemical weapons and prevent future chemical attacks by the Assad regime on the Syrian people.

Conaway also says he has heard from people in district say they remain unconvinced. He says the President has the responsibility to make a case for military intervention, and Congress has the responsibility to vote on it.
