San Angelo unemployment

City officials report that San Angelo's unemployment rate in August was five-point-one percent, down a half percent from the month before. That compares to the statewide unemployment figure of six-point-three percent. Of the six Texas counties with unemployment rates below three percent, three are in the Concho Valley: Reagan and Sterling at two-point-seven percent and Sutton at two-point-nine.
