This is Child Passenger Safety Week and the Texas Department of Transportation is now offering free safety seat inspections year-round by appointment. State law requires a child who is younger than 8-years-old and not taller than four-foot-nine to ride in a safety seat. To schedule a safety seat inspection, call a TxDOT district office or find a local contact at Texas-Click-It-or-Ticket-dot-com.
