United Blood Services has announced an emergency critical appeal for type O-negative blood donors. During the past two weeks, demand for type O-negative blood has outpaced the supply. UBS says it should have 67 pints on hand but currently only has 5 pints. United Blood Services Donation Center is located at 2020 West Beauregard and is open: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from noon to 6, Wednesday and Friday from 8am to 2pm and Saturday from 9am – 2pm. Donors may call 223-7500 or visit United-Blood-Services-dot-org to make an appointment.
