Rocky Rawls is is hoping this time is the charm, as the the Bronte High School basketball team travels to the UIL state tournament in Austin this weekend. Rawls has been to the title game three times as a coach and has yet to win a title. The Longhorns play Roxton Friday night at 7pm.
The San Angelo Central softball team picked up a win in the district opener yesterday against Abilene High. In high school baseball, the Central Bobcats took advantage of five errors by Abilene High and got the 8-5 victory. Central Coach Chad Krempin was pleased with the win, especially since it came on the road.
The Dallas Mavericks hope to keep their momentum going tonight against the New Orleans Hornets. The Spurs play Detroit.
