Strength in numbers. San Angelo, Abilene and Midland are taking a regional approach to handling water resources in the future. Mayor Alvin New announced the partnership, at the same time Mayors in Abilene and Midland had their own press conferences, today. The idea is to work on projects that will ensure all three municipalities have water well into the future. Abilene has been looking at a reservoir proposal for Hendrick River Ranch, near the Throckmorton Shackleford County line. It would cost 244-million dollars and take years to finish.
