While you probably don’t like higher gas prices at the pump, caused by unrest in the Middle East, Texas oil is also getting a higher price per barrel. And, a percentage of that revenue goes into the state’s rainy day fund. No telling for sure what kind of windfall that means, but it’s going to help with future budgets.
