Construction workers say changes in the weather likely caused an eight to ten inch water pipe to burst, this morning, on Beauregard Avenue, between Chadbourne and Oakes Streets. The water was turned off in all buildings on the block, while city crews worked on the line. And, First United Methodist Church had to cancel an Ash Wednesday service at noon.
