The San Angelo Animal Shelter is collecting aluminum cans to raise funds for a program that helps pay for the spaying and neutering of pets owned by low income city residents. Aluminum cans may be brought to the shelter on U.S. Highway 67 North in a plastic bag from 10 to 5 Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9 to 6 Wednesdays, or from 10 to 1 Saturdays.
