A special annual event for San Angelo's senior citizens is coming up next month. The Friends of the San Angelo State Park and park employees will host Silver Bluebonnet Day at the South Gate Chaparral Pavilion on FM 2288, on Wednesday, May 8th, from 9 AM to 1 PM. It's a free day for seniors to take tours to see the Bison and Texas Longhorn Herd and learn about native plants, animals and volunteer opportunities. The morning will be caped off by a free picnic lunch.
