Assault arrests

Early Tuesday morning, San Angelo police responded to a residence in the 2700 block of Freeland where a prowler was reportedly trying to gain entry. Officers say the prowler turned out to be a 23-year-old man who was trying to get help after having been injured during an assault by two other men. He was transported to a nearby hospital with apparent stab wounds. Police then went a block over on Freeland where they found the two men named as suspects. After several hours of negotiation, 27-year-old Tito Galindo and 23-year-old Emilio Delacruz, both of San Angelo, were arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
