A San Angelo man was being treated at a local hospital after barricading himself and setting fire to an apartment in north San Angelo on Friday. It happened after officers arrived at the Resort at Riverside Apartment Complex on North Bryant Boulevard to execute an arrest warrant. Police say a 28-year-old man barricaded himself in the apartment and officers saw smoke coming out of the windows and front door. They eventually used a ram to break down the door and the suspect was transported to a nearby hospital were he was said to be in stable condition. In addition to the warrant, he'll be charged with four counts of arson.
