Flash flood watch

The National Weather Service at San Angelo has issued a flash flood watch for an area including the counties of Tom Green, Irion, Concho, Crockett, Schleicher and Menard. It's in effect through tomorrow morning. You can expect widespread heavy rainfall of one to two inches, with locally higher amounts in excess of three inches. Urban street flooding will be a primary concern due to poor drainage and extreme runoff. Normally dry creeks and streams will catch excess runoff and might flood low-lying roadways. The storms can also include dangerous cloud-to-ground lightining.
