Shutdown impact on city

City of San Angelo officials say they have been fielding citizen calls about how the federal government’s partial shutdown is impacting City operations, particularly WIC--Women, Infants and Children. They say it’s not. No city operations, including WIC, San Angelo Regional Airport or federally-funded programs in the Neighborhood and Family Services Department, are currently being impacted. WIC’s offices are operating as they normally do from 7 a.m.-noon and 1 p.m.-6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Should that change, the city will issue an alert on its Facebook page.
