A park in San Angelo now bears the name of a native who died while working as a policeman.
The dedication of Jamie Padron Memorial Park took place Saturday.
Padron died after confronting an armed man inside a Walmart in Austin.
KXAN reports the park includes new playground equipment, a pavilion, new walkways, and a refurbished ball field and courts.
