San Angelo police are investigating what they are calling the untimely death of a young man. Early Sunday morning, an officer went to Shannon Hospital where an unconscious white male had been brought by private vehicle. He was was identified as 23-year-old Nicholas Hanks. It was determined that the Hanks had been at a party out in the county in the 5880 block of FM 1223. He had gone to get something to eat when his friends realized he had passed out. They immediately transported him to Shannon. Results of a toxicology report are pending.
