As forecast, retail gas prices moved higher last week after the government struck a deal to reopen and raise the debt ceiling. But Triple-A says the jump in pump prices was premature and it's likely they will plateau in the coming weeks. Nationwide, the average price of regular is three-35 a gallon, up one cent from a week ago. In Texas, the average price of regular is three-11 a gallon, up two cents from a week ago. In San Angelo, gas-buddy-dot-com reports the price of regular ranges from three-03 to three-19.
