A man apparently did not stop for the Donut Stop. San Angelo police were called to the business on Knickerbocker Road and arrived to find that a 2008 Kia Rondo had driven into the front of it. Officers say the driver, 80-year-old Harold John Witt claimed the accident happened because he got his foot stuck on the accelerator. Witt suffered minor injuries as did two patrons inside the Donut Stop. Damage to the business was estimated at 50-thousand dollars.
