Angelo State University has named a new dean of academic excellence. Dr. Andy Wallace, professor and head of ASU's Physics Department, will assume that position effective April 1st. In announcing Wallace's appointment, ASU called it the first step in restructuring academic support services to help increase the school's retention rates, especially among freshmen, and ultimately to improve graduation rates.
