Somebody called the Ellis County Sheriff's Office Tuesday afternoon to report that a saddled horse was standing next to a pond. Deputies responded to the location off Cody Road in the Telico area near Ennis and, a few hours later, recovered the body of a male. There was no immediate ID or cause of death released.
